Calorie Calculator
Estimate your daily calorie needs based on your stats and activity level.
About this calculator
This estimates Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) using the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, then multiplies it by an activity factor to estimate Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE) — the calories needed to maintain your current weight. These are population-level formulas and provide a starting estimate, not a personalized medical recommendation.
What's the difference between BMR and TDEE?
BMR is the energy your body needs at complete rest just to keep basic functions running. TDEE adds your activity level on top of BMR to estimate total calories burned in a typical day.
How accurate is this estimate?
This uses the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, widely considered one of the more accurate prediction formulas, but it's still an estimate. Actual needs vary by individual metabolism, body composition, and other factors, so use this as a starting reference point rather than an exact number.
